Together we protect more than 320,000 km2 of lands and waters, - through formal and informal cooperative agreements, - through the creation of new protected areas and the expansion of existing ones, - by working with Aboriginal knowledge holders for a holistic stewardship of the land, - by enriching visitors’ experiences with Aboriginal stories and cultural practices, - and by building bridges with the support and dedication of the entire Parks Canada team and the leadership of the Aboriginal Consultative Committee. Relationships built on trust and mutual respect. Acknowledging the past to determine our future together. The song Buffalo Moon was generously provided by Brulé. Used by permission. This video is dedicated to the memory of Jean Augustine-McIsaac (Kaqtukwasisip Muin’iskw). May your journey to the other side be swift, Thunderbird Bear Woman. Aqq nemultes.
