Hours of operation

Waterton Lakes National Park is open year round.

Our peak season is in the summer months. If you are planning to visit during these months, especially in July and August, be sure to plan ahead.

From November to April, most facilities in the townsite are closed. Heated washrooms are available at Cameron Falls and the visitor centre.

Visitor centre

Our visitor centre offers park information, park passes, maps, brochures, permits, backcountry reservations, weather information, trail, avalanche and road reports, and information on interpretive exhibits and events.

Park gate

Staffed hours of service may vary. A valid Parks Canada pass must be displayed in your vehicle for your visit. Passes may be purchased at the park gate, visitor centre or in advance of your visit online.
