Important information about your visit to Nááts'įhch'oh National Park Reserve

July 30, 2020 - All areas of Nááts'įhch'oh National Park Reserve are considered open as of July 1, 2020. Prior to any visits, visitors should contact Parks Canada staff at Nááts'įhch'oh by emailing pc.tulitainfo-infotulita.pc@canada.ca or calling 867-588-4884.

A great trip to Nááts'įhch'oh National Park Reserve begins with good planning. Remember:

  • Your personal safety is your own responsibility. Visitors must be self-sufficient in the park. This is not a good summer to be taking bigger risks or pushing your limits.
  • Since there are less travelers in the park reserve, there is also less availability to get help if something goes wrong.  Keep your plans within your abilities and those of your party.
  • File a detailed trip plan with a friend and know what to do if something goes wrong.
  • Consider bringing a GPS communications device, such as an InReach.
  • Call and talk to Parks Canada staff if you have questions about your travel plans!
  • Visitors from outside the NWT should consult with the latest policies surrounding tourism travel to the NWT this summer. Some of these policies are prone to change. Visit the Government of the Northwest Territories website for more information: www.gov.nt.ca/covid-19.
  • We strongly encourage all visitors to wear a non-medical mask or face covering when visiting indoor public spaces at Nááts'įhch'oh National Park Reserve. An indoor public space is any space with walls and a roof that can be accessed by the members of the public.

  • Overnight and backcountry use
Self-isolation is not permitted within Nááts'įhch'oh National Park Reserve and if required by territorial authorities, must be completed prior to your arrival.
